How to install computer RAM (After Your own Research)

  • First confirm that you have the correct RAM.
    A. Prepare Your Workspace and Computer
    1-Power down your computer completely
    2-Unplug all cables from your computer
    3-Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to discharge residual electricity
    4-Place your computer on a clean, flat surface
    5-Remove the side panel of your computer case
    B. Locate the RAM Slots
    -Find the RAM slots on your motherboard
    -They’re usually near the CPU and are long, rectangular slots
    -Most motherboards have 2 or 4 RAM slots
    -Look for any existing RAM modules already installed
    C. Install the RAM Modules
    1-Open the clips at both ends of the RAM slot
    2-Align the notch on the RAM with the ridge in the slot
    3-Insert the module at a 90-degree angle
    4-Apply even pressure until you hear a clicking sound
    5-The clips should automatically close to secure the module
