How to install HDD (After Your own Research)

First confirm that you have the correct HDD.

Note: You may be able to clone your old HDD to your new HDD, so avoiding the need for a fresh install and loss of data.

To install the HDD in a laptop, you can:

Power down the laptop, remove the back panel to access the hard drive bay, disconnect the old hard drive's cables, carefully install the new drive in its place, connect the necessary cables, reassemble the laptop, and then boot up to format and install the operating system on the new drive
